Hair Testing Information

What Is the Hair Test Process?

  • First, please read the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ listed below.
  • Print off the form and fill out.
  • Cut a small sample of hair and place it into a small paper envelope or plastic bag.
  • Send hair samples and form to me.  P.O Box 150, Te Awamutu 3840.
  • The cost of the test is $120.00 per/person, payment can be arranged by contacting me.
  • In 4 to 6 weeks time hair test results are sent back to me, where I will then forward them onto you with an explanation of the results and some supporting information.
  • At this stage I recommend you contact me for a Consultation.
  • Consultations are available at my clinic in Te Awamutu,  by phone or video via ‘Teleport’.
  • Keep in mind the hair test is not a cure.  It is an aid for the practitioner and their client to determine a healthier nutritional plan tailored for you.
  • By taking out the foods/substances from your diet/environment, your system can reduce inflammation and stress.  This allows the treatment plan recommended specifically for you, a chance to function more effectively.  The consultation allows us to determine the underlying cause of your health challenges.
  • If you are a local and can see me at the clinic, then you can have the hair test taken and fill out the form with me.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the testing done?

The testing is carried out using an EAV machine; this measures the changes in electromagnetic energy when the hair sample is exposed to various test samples.

EAV technology was first developed in Europe over fifty years ago by a German physician named Reinhold Voll and EAV stands for Electro-Acupuncture according to Voll.

How does this kind of testing compare with Skin prick tests and blood testing for allergies?

These kinds of tests are totally different and cannot be compared.

EAV testing is measuring changes in energy.

EAV testing does not imply an allergy is present and further testing through a medical practitioner may need to be carried out.

What are the strengths of Hair testing?

  • It is non- invasive.
  • It can be performed on clients of any age.
  • A wide variety of irritants can be tested, from foods and preservatives to environmental chemicals.
  • Any substance may be tested: you can send samples that you would like tested along with the hair.

What are the limitations of Hair testing?

Hair testing is measuring changes in electromagnetic resonance and due to this if a food has not been consumed for a number of months it may not appear as a reaction. This is because the vibration of that food is no longer present in the electromagnetic field of the client.

If foods are already being avoided in the diet they may not show sensitivity with EAV testing and if a food is being avoided due to severe allergic reaction this food must continue to be avoided.

Why is there still a reaction even though I am avoiding a particular food item?

In some instances, a reaction can still be detected to food items already being avoided.

This could be due to a number of reasons.

  • The food item has only just been removed from the diet and needs to be avoided for longer.
  • There is still some of this food in the diet which may be hidden in other foods. Labels on packets may need to be read to have total avoidance.
  • The client is very sensitive to this particular item and a drop in energy flow is still being observed, which is confirmation of a severe sensitivity.

Does it matter if the hair sample is coloured or treated in some way?

No, this does not interfere with the testing.

Can you test babies?

Yes, babies can be tested.

If they are fully breastfed then the mother will need to adjust her diet with the help of her practitioner.

How much hair do you need?

Only a small amount of hair is needed, approx. a piece 4cm long and 1cm wide. If the hair is very short you can take smaller clippings to make up this approx. amount. It is best to take the hair from the nape of the neck close to the scalp. If there is no hair on the head then arm, chest or clean pubic hair may be used.
